I needed to force myself to speak on this. I can't stay silent, not anymore.

Too long has the LGBTQ+ and trans community lived in fear of the christonationalists and evangelicals. Many of us have been scared into closets time and time again because of incidents just like last nights shooting. I don't know how many here understand the type of fear these shootings strike among us.

I genuinely asked my husband if I should go back into the closet. 1/ #LGBTQ

@WeaselToo I don't want anyone to ever have to face this, ever ever, but in todays society and the current radical events taking place? It's hard not to question for personality safety over well being and peace of mind. ._.
