@093mia If people judge you for your music they aren't your people. At least in my opinion.

@Bix I wouldn't drive a Tesla if they gave it to me for free!

@th3j35t3r Awe fun for him!!
When someone is experiencing an overdose snoring, or rasping breathing, is sometimes mistaken for a person being asleep. However, it is usually a sign that the person is becoming more deeply unconscious, and their airway is being blocked or restricted
If a person is unresponsive and has any other sign like: Snoring, Shallow Breathing, Pale Skin, Blue Lips or Pinpoint Pupils call for help don't wait CALL
If you have Naloxone use it don't hesitate *use it*
When someone is experiencing an overdose, they are dying because they cannot breathe due to drugs like opiates switching off this vital signal to the lungs. Shallow breathing means breaths can be reduced to 3-4 breaths per min instead of the usual 12-20 breaths
During an overdose a person's lips, or fingertips, will turn blue (cyanosis) due to the lack of oxygen in the blood.
@ecksmc 🖤 Amen
yesterday was international overdose awesome day 2023 - i try not to overthink that day yesterday was a little harder than other years 😔
last night i thought of my own losses and all those who have lost loved ones to a preventable overdose 💔We need to do better to challenge stigma, foster inclusion & listen to the experts
would you know how to recognise someone in need?
@kel The complications are scary and hard. I would get super frustrated and discouraged when you would go to a Dr and they would say lose weight. I would turn into a smart ass and say don’t think it I knew how I would. Finally after I ended up in the er with my bp at 257/125 on the verge of a stroke did I find a Dr who said huh this isn’t normal and started working to find and fix what was wrong. I got on a glp-1 med that’ was a game changer for me called Mounjaro.
@kel the world makes nutrition way way way too complicated or miserable. Whole Foods more spices less sauces and salt. Avoid processed sugar and sugar free is really really really bad for your gut and digestion and can wreak havoc with your metabolism. Natural sugars are the way y to go
@kel nice well I’m here for you! 😁 best hack I learned was not all carbs are bad. Use a carb to fiber ratio. If it’s all carbs and no fiber then not heart to eat. But if it had both you divide the carbs by the fiber and if it’s less than a 1:10 ratio you good to eat a healthy serving. 😁 lesser evil popcorn is weirdly amazing and I will blend frozen fruits with an almond milk unsweetened and freeze small containers and when it’s hot or I’m craving sugar it’s perfect. 🤷🏼♀️
@kel I’m now working to drop them. 😂
@kel 😂🤣 I work for a pharmacy for two more days. You would be amazed at the amount of medication people take. It’s kind of nuts. But they helped me. I’m not working to the point to drop them. I’ve lost 140lbs since Aug 2020. Nothing crazy just some food changes. Of course the more I lost the more I could move without all the pain so the more weight came off.
@kel now do they have you on hydrochlorothiazide? After COVID my MD phrased it as my kidneys were sluggish. They put me on that and it really helped. It’s a diuretic or water pill. Helps with the swelling as well
@kel yeah they are a bitch on your body!! They have you on hydrochlorothiazide
My life is stranger than fiction.
