Funny story.
Once after I was about five years clean.
I was ask to give a talk to high school kids abut the danger of drugs.

Told my story, opened it up for questions. Kid asks why did you start, and why did you go back for the second time. I was honest.
I said.... "Because heroin works. At first it work so well, it seams like a miracle. Ya know that feeling; lying on the grass, late on a summer afternoon. Not a care in the world. Everything right with the world."
