Ford Motor co. just filed a patent "for an in-vehicle advertisement presentation system based on information derived from several trip and driver characteristics.

Essentially, the car you’re driving would not only spy on your driving behavior, your present and future locations, and your requested driving routes, but it would also eavesdrop on you. And let’s not forget the safety implications of displaying advertisements while you’re driving.
@NorthernInvader how is Ford the first to try for this? I mean, it’s shitty, but seems like any number of other orgs would have already thought of it and filed for a patent.
You can always turn your phone off,or set it to DND, or delete an app. With this once you turn the engine on you have no options it seems.

It’s messed up what corporations think they have a right to ask for now. I think a couple of years ago one of the mattress makers wanted to mic their mattresses for eerrrr… performance improvements. I don’t think that worked out for them, thankfully. 🤦🏻♂️
