@danielbsmith the deities that we know of are the creation of Bronze age peoples who had little to no understanding of how the universe works. Things they could not explain any other way than the works of a supernatural entity. There is zero evidence that any of those 10,000 or so deities ever existed. Your God is just one of those creations and the same goes for your Jesus. Throughout written history religion, including yours, has been the leading cause of death, through war and persecution

@danielbsmith Throughout written history Christian priests have used their supposed moral superiority to rape women and children in unimaginable numbers, murdered dissenters/disbelievers, aided and abetted the most heinous rulers. Oh and to my comment on no evidence - do not refer to your Bible as any sort of proof, that would be circulus in probando - circular reasoning.

@NorthernInvader First of all, I'm not Catholic so I am less familiar with that history. Second, if you read my posts, you would know that I don't use the Bible that way.

Let's take a different approach if you'd like to continue this conversation. Let's talk about human nature and psychology. I think you're trying to say that it's the fault of religion. I'm trying to say that it's in our nature, that there is something fundamental about humanity that is broken.
