Why is it that RWers feel like they should rant to everyone around?
ESPECIALLY at the VA. My hubby is approached all the time as they assume he’s Republican. He’s definitely not & reacts negatively. Partly because he doesn’t like to interact with people much but mostly because he can’t abide Repubs.
I run into it too. I’ve had them interrupt conversations to disagree & lecture on tfg’s greatness. Or out of the blue just start ranting about Libs.
Where does that nerve come from?🥴

I get the same thing just because of where we live. They assume everyone that lives out here is RW as hell. 🤦🏻♀️ I got a new shirt to make it clear who I am…

Some wretched and pitiable admixture of (semi self-aware) ignorance, resentment, insecurity? Whereas puppet masters like the Kochs, Mercers, et al are truly convinced that their own actions to further their own base interests are fully justified…and evil. 🤷🏻♂️😎
@InUnfunky they’re so overly confident that I’ll agree or care what they think it amazing and really annoying. The look in their faces when told that no I do not agree with whatever rant they’re on and that I actually thinks it’s bs is almost worth it. 😀

@NorCalCherylLyn it's an evangelical religious derived "thing". as a Canadian, i was always astounded when down there at how Americans would approach me in stores or wherever and ask me if i'd "been saved"! now that habit has just been transferred to their politics because, well, 🍊💩🤡 is their god.
@holon42 I think you’re right. Once it was pointed out I can see the similarity. I find it offensive! And I’m someone that talks to everyone while I’m out. But briefly and in passing, not to change their whole belief system. 🤦🏻♀️

I am an older woman who used to have white blonde hair. I swear every bigot and RWer I met took one look at that hair and thought, "Karen will agree with me 100%." And they would pour all their vileness out to me, expecting me to agree.
This stopped once I dyed my hair purple. This solution may not help your husband but I'm sticking with it!
