@MLClark Oh I'm exciteed! Its been 6 years since I was able to release a novel and we're finally getting back to it.

What's even more special, our very own @wolfwoman joined the team and did a lot of the heavy beta reader work for the final draft.

This is a Coso collaboration!

I've submitted to release the preorder, and it chunked me into review... I'll have a link out soon!

@singlemaltgirl I apologize, it appears I have said something that has led me to be misinterpreted.

It was not my intention to suggest people swallow their feelings, but that there were more responsible and healthy ways of expressing those emotions then insults and hatred and othering.

It seems to me that's what got us all here in the first place.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that- Martin Luther King Jr.

@LSWellesley Those last lines really hit me in the heart every time...

"She did not survive."

@Soldier_Solitude Thich Nhat Hanh said "A world without suffering, is a world without compassion. A world without compassion is hell"

It's not about enshrining or cherishing suffering, but encountering it can create an impetus to not want to see it perpetuate. This is the birth of compassion

I have experienced hurt so I don't want to see others hurt.

There is a darker path though, rage. It's far to cherished in our time, but it's elevation is all the more reason to embrace compassion.

@wolfwoman I think we live in a time of great change. From the ground up, and that's terrifying. Everything is shifting from demographics, to our level of inclusion, to ways of being

This has been a trend that started way back when, I'd argue the enlightenment. The fact that its taken hundreds of years to start enacting parts of those ideas show how slow progress can be

But then mass media happened, and the proliferation of story

I think a lot of people are frightened by how fast things change

@MrGoat Yeah I know shake, but I can be a bit of spoiled beast!

Still any port in a storm ^_^

That doesn't mean people get a free pass for bigotry, but there's a difference between accountability and hostility. Between addressing an inequality and dressing down an individual.

I'm troubled by all the hatred I'm seeing in our world, and its not going to get better by proliferating that fire.

I'm hoping with the election to soon be over that we will see a reduction in the ugliness I've been seeing between folks.

I recognize maga as an existential threat. I mean, they're running campaign ads about targeting people like me, it's hard not to. But hate is baggage.

They might hate me but it's not going to keep me from showing up with compassion. I'm hoping that's something we can all unite behind as we put this divisive election behind us.

@wolfwoman Isn't it interesting how people find identity in seeking the negativity? It's also a sad thing... It's ok not to like them... but there's no reason to make it a cornerstone of who one is.

I loathe the new star wars movies but its not my whole personality.

@MrGoat It's weird to me to see it all ground up and not just the buds. I'm a spoiled beast... In my house we grind! :P

Of course its been years since I was a regular user. Now its just a every now and again thing.

@MrGoat @anatman Also depends on the quality... 140 an ounce isn't bad in most markets and should be pretty top.
