Good morning groovy souls! Yesterday I went a wild with my eating, celebrating my finish of my editing but also some of it was stress response.
The last month has really put me through my paces and I’m exhausted.
Today I had an early start and difficulty sleeping so I got to the gym late and only ran 4 miles.
These days are going to happen but come what may I remain focused on my goals and my paths.
Daily challenges work the spirit like exercise works the body
Onward toward the dawn!
@amarand normally that’s what they want. The greens on top are the target.
An excellent video essay on compassion.
@holon42 Both of my editors got Covid a handful of times, ended up with long covid, and have had difficulty working. I've had to completely re engineer my workflow.
It's one of the reasons it took so long. I'm not that great of an editor, and they can't handle the same workload as before.
That's not denigrating them, it's just the way it happened. They've got so many health challenges now.
@holon42 Oh yeah, only took about 5 years. The Pandemic really messed up my team.
Good morning groovy souls!
The hardest battles are within the mind. Today I woke up and did not want to run, I wanted to be lazy
I took a deep breath, went to the gym, and did what I do everyday, six days a week.
About 40 minutes in, I was still feeling like I wanted to stop, so I played the same game I did with myself on the trail. "Go another mile, see how you feel."
Will is infinite, it's our patience that wears thin. Persistence trains that patience, just like weights trains the body.
@Victor It seems to me that such a statement right out of the gate showcases nefarious intent.
@wolfwoman Im looking at flying out from Baltimore or DC so we can get some time together, actually.
@wolfwoman I'm excited too. There is a distinct sense of things finally winding down with this week.
Should all go well, I'll be on my way home by the end of next week.
So today, I got "off" early. Buddy had a quick dentist appointment, and my daily cleaning tasks didn't take much more than an hour.
For the last few hours, I have been editing, finally making the first progress on Farthest Star since May.
I am 50 pages from moving it to publication and typesetting. I've been that close all this time, but there has been no time.
This week, Gods willing, will mark the completion of my first publish ready work in 5 years...
@CinnamonGirlE @amarand it’s been an insanely busy year. I haven’t really been home since February
