@Jorro @MLClark @AskTheDevil @thewebrecluse
I feel no ill will to anyone of the Christian faith, even the ones that are really negative about people like me.
So long as we can talk to each other, and live and let live I think we'll be ok.
You're a good friend Jorro, and I'm happy you have a faith path that's affirming to you, and I will support you in that affirming faith path as long as that is true for you, to the utter limits of my ability.
@AskTheDevil @MLClark @thewebrecluse And the thing is, I did go to the big building, and drink the blood and eat the flesh of the God and did all the things I was told I was supposed to do. And when they told me I had to hate the parts of me that felt like truth and go to war with myself, and believe only what they told me, I tried that and it felt like death.
Embracing my "crazy" is what helped me find my sanity, because it was the pathway to me being myself.
@AskTheDevil @MLClark @thewebrecluse
I have my beliefs. I have my past life memories, and a strong identity that has been part of me as long as I have had memory.
But I'm the only one who has ever believed the way I do, so I'm crazy.
But if I went to a big building every week to drink the blood and eat the flesh of a god, that's perfectly sane and normal.
I think crazy and sane and all of these terms we're using are a bit loaded in who they are applied to.
@MLClark @AskTheDevil @thewebrecluse I like the way the Dsm-V is defining things. If it’s maladaptive or harming the individual it’s an illness. If it’s not it’s just a quirk of their being
@Halcyon I think your concerns are valid. She might see her actions as harmless, but it could easily isolate people at the apartment complex, and even leave them feeling unsafe.
@Halcyon Spending 15 minutes telling you about her personal religious faith is deeply unprofessional from a corporate stance for one, and the rest of it is highly sus. If this was in a private setting it's one thing, but in a business setting?
If you're having difficulty accessing services after this encounter, or you feel uncomfortable working with her as a result of her actions, I'd write a letter at the very least to upper management and see if this can be addressed.
@stueytheround @Museek @Mauve_matelot
I'd say "Go Home Stuey, you're drunk" But she's waiting for you there... :P
@Museek One could ask the manager if this is the new minimum dress code and then find a plumber?
@Museek That's a whole new take on covering your butt.
@sfleetucker Certainly the way it seems.
@sfleetucker There's some running here in Texas that are not only offensive, but frightening.
@AskTheDevil @MLClark @thewebrecluse
So within my faith there is something called Orlag. The way I understand orlag is a fork in the road.
We have fates, the norns weave and speak of destiny.
Now what?
I see it like a river one is riding. Your destination is known, but you choose your place in the various currents, and what forks you will take.
For anyone outside of our timeline, all these things are happening at once. From our position within it, we're building the end seen.
@AskTheDevil @MLClark @thewebrecluse
Reading anything Calvinist theology really takes the willpower, which I feel is quite ironic.
Choosing to fulfill your original purpose is still a choice. If you had chosen to not rebel, you might have defied your purpose while fulfilling "divine law"
Which is also ironic.
