I call it Integration Delicata Soup because it has BLACK and WHITE beans (and two tablespoons Bourbon!)

A couple weeks ago a took a few days off far, far from the big city lights. This was my reward. I have laid on my back and stared at the for hours. One of these days I'll get a polar mount that will enable me to take these properly, but until then my cellphone is not half bad.

Here's what you can do if you don't have a telescope with which to do astrophotography. Just use our public telescope! All Hubble (and soon Webb!) data is available for free download. You can use free programs like FITS Liberator to process the raw camera data into lovely pictures. Here's a sweet little planetary nebula remnant I discovered and processed. I've no idea if it has a "regular" name, but it's IRAS14568 in the catalog.

And while I'm reliving all my past astrophotography adventures, here's one of the 2017 total solar eclipse that went straight over my home. Caught a jet and a star in this one. Again with my Mead 16".

International Astronomy Day! How'd that slip by my notice @thatmac_cheese? Here's my moon done many years ago through my Mead 16" using a field flattener. It's a deep space setup, but it did alright.
