Before I get out of the car, I make sure I have my keys. Open the door, press LOCK. Shut the door. Then I pull the handle to make sure it's locked.
Am I the only one who does this?

@Nick_Searles with the migration to push button start, my keys never leave my pocket unless I sit in such a way to hit that goddamned alarm button.

@MookyTroubadour Usually when I grab my groceries and then flip my backpack on, that's when I hit that thing.

@Nick_Searles

A year ago my neighbor bought a new truck. It had all the bells and whistles. NFC keys and wireless start. The first thing he did was drive it to a mechanic and have all of that removed or disabled. Put new, much more secure, old fashioned door locks on. To lock door you must be outside with key. These are kind of fancy keys, all mechanical. But very hard to pick. Look a bit like .

@corlin When I get my next car I may look into this.
