@MelissaHDavis This has happened to friends of mine. They all bring their glass to me, as my community still takes it. It's one of the most easily recycled substances. I don't get it.

@AuntCrabby "Official" date of Festivus is December 23rd, but we're all free to celebrate as it suits us!

@Kurtroedeger That is beautiful. You may have just introduced me to my new philosophy when talking with orange cult members!

Favorite books? Mine has, for a long time, been "Great Expectations." Much funnier than people usually give Dickens credit for.

Since stores have us begin "getting ready" for Christmas in September, may I assume it's not too early for me to start preparing for Groundhog Day?

@DavidSalo I have personally experienced numerous incidents where I have given an employee a choice in some matter, to which they reply that they'll "have to pray about it." The answer invariably comes back as "no," which has always made me lean toward, and agree with, your analysis. This tendency to draw God into the decisions is something to hide behind when giving an answer that someone else won't like.

@tgraph52 I'll hardly be able to sleep tonight, worrying about him.

The sun is shining outside my window. I can stand anything, as long as the sun is shining!

@Imjustagirl Oh, it looks pretty enough. But shoveling, driving, walking, etc, all become an unwelcome chore. Ugh. Then again, we don't get earthquakes, tornadoes, or other natural disasters, so I guess being able to go back inside and drink some hot chocolate after shoveling is adequate compensation for having had to do it in the first place!

@Pat_Walrond Hahaha! It's quite a controversial stance, but I thought I'd put it right out front! Take me as I am!

But the border opens up a little more each time a piece of TFG's wall gets blown down by the wind. It's so fitting that his wall is actually making the border MORE open.

Snow on the ground. There aren't many things I hate as much as snow, and yet I continue to live in the northeast. Is it me?

Thank you! Been enjoying the passing parade of the firehouse. This looks like my kind of place. Much better than the dying bird.

This is what absolute free speech looks like?

When faced with a tough choice like this I'm tempted to punt, but I'm this case I have to go with Tom Waits.

Read a great biography of Jaco. Sad what mental illness did to such a talent.

@LarsTheWanderer XTC is one of the most underrated bands of their era. Skylarking is a classic, and so is Oranges and Lemons!

@SuperboyNova Agreed! Nothing worthwhile comes without a little effort!

@TheresaVermont I appreciate that encouragement! It looks a little overwhelming, but I'm looking forward to diving in.
