Mom’s memorial was last weekend.
We are going to our annual President’s Day weekend camping trip this weekend for another smaller family only memorial.
We all have our year of firsts, but damn, do they have to come back to back?
My birthday is the end of the month, we always went as a group (mom, husband, and I) for a REALLY GOOD steak dinner. We didn’t do that this year.

Well, CapOne, surprises me again. They sent a letter stating their condolences on the loss of my mother, using her name. Stating that the accounts were closed and no authorized users would be able to use their cards. Should I have any questions, I can call the the Estate Planning department.
I may not always agree with their politics, but their customer service is top tier.
Thank you to them for making this transition a bit better.
I have a request. Someone, sorry cannot remember who, posted a small cartoon of a nurse taking to a patient who is lying in bed. She says "we need to draw blood, but we do it the natural way" (or something close to that). She's holding a cat.
I'd like to see & copy that for my Vet. Last time I was in I told them about it & they really want to see it as they have a bulletin board full of pet jokes.

Got through mom’s memorial with little fuss.
It’s over. Now reality will come crashing in on me. I will finally realize that she is not coming home. Ever.
I will have to find other employment now. I could not see going back after 7months. It just didn’t fit.
Two more services to cancel. Then I should be done. As soon as I find out what the $68 charge that keeps trying to go through the closed bank accounts is for. Thought I paid everything. 🤷♀️

Right, you know because she got paperless billing, and paid auto pay on all her bills. But yeah, let me go ask her. Hang on.
There was a trust that was executed 10 years ago, but no other estate.

Customer service was EH. Then it was thank you for using AT&T. and while I was on hold, don't get me started on the getting through the bot, they tried to upsell me.
I may not even cancel my grandfathers account, and just let it go to collections. Go ahead and sue his ghost.
CapOne gets an A+ for having all the information needed to cancel a deceased loved ones credit/bank accounts. Ask ENO and they give you a link with a number to call, call the number and you only have to push one button. They tell you all the info you need to have; account number or social, date of birth, date of death. Super helpful, very kind.
AT&T-FAIL. You need to search high and low to find the number to call, then you have to have the 3 digit code on the account, good luck if they have....
