Oh! I see I missed wishing you a happy birthday! 🎂 Happy belated Birthday, @LnzyHou you are one of the most empathetic souls around and I am grateful you are here.
@051G the cringe is giving me a miiiiigraine
@CarmenSlamdiego I mean what is even the point? I do indeed loathe it.
@Alfred if you love the song so much why don’t you marry it?
@Alfred you would think that the lyricist would be more concerned about symptoms of stroke.
@Alfred could you explain the lyric, “I can’t feel my face when I’m with you, but I love it?”
@Ruthat but, shamelessly, I also like “book boner.” 🫢
@Ruthat so the longer the “hangover” the more emotional intelligence as a result of reading something really profound/meaningful, if I’m reading correctly.
Thanks for sharing this. 🙌🏻
@Tacitus_Kilgore I fear he may accuse me of literary promiscuity. Which… wouldn’t be entirely inaccurate?
Is there a word (actual or fabricated) to describe the feeling you get after reading a good book? You know the feeling: you don’t want to let it go but know you must and you want to tell it you won’t find another as good as it, but you’ve already started searching for something to fill the void it left in your soul. No book will ever be as good but you will die trying to find one. And then you do find one that is, it may even be the best ever, and the whole thing starts over again.
@MrsDanaD I was/am an Alto.
I still find myself singing some of those songs in the shower.
Apart from the Christmas bangers, this was my favorite. Sing it all the time.
