Democrat Carol Glanville defeated Republican Robert Regan this week in the special election to fill the seat for Michigan State House District 74.
Trump won the district by 16 points in 2020. The seat had only ever been held by a Republican.

I want a double double with cheese from In-N-Out. I’d even scarf down a Breakfast Jack from Jack in the Box. And don’t get me started on how much I miss Mexican food.
I miss Cali. Sigh.
The only good part of being in so much pain Monday after surgery was my 3 cats coming to sooth me.
Cats are awesome.

Monday I had outpatient surgery to remove a kidney stone. Pain started on the way home and got worse and worse. My aunt dropped me at home and went to fill scrip.
Pretty sure I passed a stone 2 hrs after getting home. I have never in my life felt pain like that. Not when I fractured my hip or gave birth.
The pain meds did nothing. It was basically just anti-inflammatory meds. Thank god the pain went away almost immediately after passing the stone.
Has anyone else had that kind of pain?
My 32yo son asked if I wanted to do something special Sunday. I said why? He said bc it’s Mother’s Day.
I totally forgot 🤦🏻♀️

My Mother was one of the 1st women in ‘73 to have a legal abortion. Traveled to nyc. It allowed her to divorce her abusive husband (my father). I legit didn’t know that until years after I was a clinic director.

5 people just imposed their strict religious beliefs on millions of women. These 5 people were not elected and most were appointed by presidents who lost the popular vote. One is married to a woman who supported a coup against the government.
This should be a wake up call for everyone.

The one and only thing that is keeping me sane at this moment is the thought that maybe, just maybe, this is enough to galvanize Dems for the midterms.
The writing has been on the wall for this election for quite some time now, but it might just be the significant kick in the ass a lot of disheartened Dems need to actually freakin vote in November.
