Good Leap Day!
Winnie would say it's a very blustery day. How are you?

The wind is roaring tonight. Upside is the deer won't be moving and keeping the dogs up.
Downside? The wind will keep the dogs up.

"Hey, could you play a Big Band tune?"

"Sure".

Oh, and give it a rockabilly twang"

"...oookay."

"And could you add a little Edvard Grieg...you know, to appease the classical listeners?"

"...ummm..."

Brian Setzer, overhearing the conversation, puts down his drink and grabs his guitar.

"I got this."

Middle of the week, end of a month. Good check-up time for me.
Am I adding material that educates and entertains in a positive manner (even if it's a difficult topic)?
Am I contributing to the community feeling by noticing opportunities to support fellow 'nauts?
Am I minding my manners (recognizing differences of opinion, disagreeing without being disagreeable)?
Am I pausing and welcoming "eggs"?
Am I financially supporting to the best of my ability?

Trying to help make work.

The challenge is to choose 20 albums that greatly influenced my taste in music. One album per day, for 20 consecutive days. No explanations, no reviews, just covers. (Unless you ask...)
Day 3

Today's is definitely the latter. This is the Johnny Mercer 1947 version of Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah featuring the Pied Pipers and the Paul Weston Orchestra, recorded a year after the song was featured in the Disney movie "Song of the South." The movie is one long pejorative, but the song is happy nonsense that had the bad luck of being introduced in the movie. It cheers me on rainy, gray days like today.

"This is more than a legislative proposal of unusual importance. it is more than an unprecedented international enterprise for the regeneration of a great community of nations, the initial aid of a people remote from the scene of the trouble. It is a great cooperative effort to save western civilization itself."
Jan. 22, 1948 speech to the National Cotton Council on the "Marshall" Plan; part of an extended effort to pass the European Recovery Act.

Good Wednesday morning.
Quiet and a warm 55 F with rain this morning, then all heck breaks loose after lunch with a strong cold front.
Thunderstorms, rain, wind gusts of 50 mph, and temps falling nearly 40 degrees F in a few hours. Hold onto your hats literally!
After all this mild weather you'll need to find your mittens as it will feel like the teens F tomorrow morning.
That's your weather from the ancient Blue Ridge of VA.
Spread joy today.

Happy Wednesday morning @Minholkin. Going to be a wild weather day here. What about you?
