Starting to purge some of my social media sites (CoSo is safe). I'm struggling with the world today & the call for public executions of trans people have pushed my mental health into a bad place.
It's sad that our country is this broken and sad that people want to end our lives just because of who we are.

@MarvelousMadi13 I guess I'd just say that social media isn't the world, and a lot of it (such as the Bird Site) actively amplifies hate, resentment, and the loudest, angriest, most hateful voices.
I have to believe and have hope that we're coming towards a better place!
@lenaoflune I know social media amplifies things, and gives people a place to hide when they give their own horrible takes, but just makes you wonder sometimes. I live in Mass which is generally a good state, but I still wonder how many of those people that hide behind a fake profile picture are people that I interact with on a daily basis

I know, I can only imagine. 💔 I will advocate for trans rights wherever and whenever I can.
I am *slightly* more hopeful about real-world people than online people, just like Lena said.
I don't know what to do other than vote and continue to try to connect with people.

It's also incredibly sad that so many people are just standing around while it happens, brushing it under the rug pretending it's not happening.
I do very much appreciate the people who have fought & continue to fight, though sadly my confidence that we will get through this is very low right now. I hope I'm wrong and I hope we can come out the other side ok.
