Bun and I were drivin' home from the gym this morning when Bun looked at some kids walkin' to school and said, "Dude, ya think there is a correlation between how fast students walk to school and school performance?"
What an interesting and perplexing question from my erudite little companion for a morning...
I could only reply, "Ya Think?"
Next time you see your kid lollygagging thru life, Kick their arse in gear...

ON this date in 1917 - Bun Man and Mr. Purple wait patiently w/ Poppy Madden for Elsie Cromwell Madden to deliver their son Kenneth C. Madden who would grow up to become the one of the first distinguished alumni from Shippensburg State College, a Brigadier General (ret) from the DEARNG, and one of the finest State School Superintendents in the history of Delaware.
Happy 96th birthday, Daddy. PS...

After doing that trip down Hwy 12 in Utah a few weeks ago, we happened upon a Clear Skys Resort (Geodesic domes where bedroom curtains open to the stars), so I'm looking at the best time of year to stargaze over by Escalante Utah.
Found this, but there must be other sources out there.
Any insight on best time of year to stargaze in SE Utah?

ON this date in 1982 - After Bun Man used a colon, dash and closing parenthetical mark in a scurrilous note to Mr. Purple, Scott Fahlman decided to abbreviate it, and he became the first person to use 🙂 in an online message--Dramatically changing the original intent.

ON this date in 1960 - Cuban leader Fidel Castro, in New York to visit the United Nations, checked out of the Shelburne Hotel angrily after a dispute with the management.
Managers Bun Man and Mr. Purple objected to Fidel's attire (wearing his underoos in the lobby for his evening cigar) and for Fidel's incessant need to be called 'mon generale' all the freakin' time.

Fellow 'neologists' Bun Man and Mr. Purple had already used 😉 and 😛 and also :-B (winking w/ a split tongue) so they were a little taken aback when Scott got all the online credit.
