As much as I try to be open and understanding, if someone, at this point in our nation's history, says they are still in T's camp, I'M OUT.

I'm not going to tolerate fascists silently.

ON this date in 1828 - A patent was issued to Robert Turner for the self-regulating wagon brake...

Friends Bun Man and Mr. Purple loved the idea and ran w/ it; they built a trike w/ a huge front wheel and pretty soon were traveling down the streets and pulling the brake and doing spin outs all over the place.

They later sold the idea to Mattel for Hot Wheels.

The curious aspect of this war was that Soldiers, after getting a furlough, were getting hooked on the Opium and were seen yanking away in those dens.

When the Brits back home heard this, they knew they had to settle and knowing they didn't want to make a treaty for no yanking, they called it the Treaty of Nanking.

HISTORY IS CRAY CRAY

ON this date in 1842 - The Treaty of Nanking was signed by the British and the Chinese.

The treaty ended the first Opium War and gave the island of Hong Kong to Britain.

Bun Man and Mr. Purple negotiated the settlement for the Brits.

ON this date in 1971 - Hank Aaron became the first baseball player in the National League to hit 100 or more runs in each of 11 seasons.

Most of you know how much the Boyz and I love baseball because, well, BASEBALL IS LIFE.

Bun Man and I still think Hank Aaron is in the Top 5 of all-time baseball greats--a classy gentleman who was the epitome of what a professional athlete should be--Athletic gifts from above and Humble demeanor to the world.

Hank Aaron, thanks for the memories...

CLASSIC

One of my fave daughter Sydnee stories...

Listening to Toby Keith's 'Should have been a Cowboy" in the gym this AM, reminded me of the time my baby girl Sydnee (Sydnee Elizabeth Smith) and I were waitin' for the Mikster one day in Marshall's (we affectionately called this the Abyss because we never knew when the Mikster would re-emerge) to finish shopping (an onerous task).

When I was young, I was foolish enough to believe principles mattered, and my life depended on me voting accordingly.

Now that I am an older young man, I remain foolish enough to believe principles matter, because nothing else does...

And I will vote accordingly.

LOVE WILL FIND A WAY

Pablo Cruise taught me this.

Interesting Day...15 mile bike ride early, then worked out, and then home chores in the yard. Window Cleaners come early so I have a window for golf. Head out to Coral Canyon and proceed to shoot a 77, first time breaking 80. What a day...

@Mandypar

Morning Luv,

How is my dear friend this AM?

Hope you're getting along better and wishing you well...

Okay, reluctantly sharing this piece on an interview with David Neiwert who was a 21-year-old newspaper editor in the Idaho Panhandle in 1978 when the Aryan Nation hate group showed up in town. He and his publisher arrived at a fateful decision.

Discussing scenarios of both a Trump win or a Harris win...
