Come Go With Me
ON this date in 1992 - Democratic presidential front-runner Bill Clinton said "I didn't inhale and I didn't try it again" in reference to when he had experimented with marijuana.
I remember sitting in the den w/ Bun Man and Mr. Purple eating Alice B. Toklas Brownies and upon hearing this on the radio, we laughed our asses off and couldn't stop laughing for some reason.
The three of us couldn't believe people actually believed this folly.

ON this date in 1638 - First permanent European settlement in Delaware was established.
Bun Man and Mr. Purple were already there, having established a Trading Post w/ the Indians in 1610.
When the New Sweden Company came to town, the Boyz saw an opportunity and very soon Swedish Beer Gals were serving the locals and...
well, you know they took care of the Boyz too!!
GAWD HOW THEY LOVED SWEDISH IMMIGRATION!
ON this date in 1962 - Gene Chandler received a gold record for "Duke of Earl."
The Boyz sang backup on the record and were credited w/ starting the doo-wop era in rock & roll.
I can still hear Bun singing "Duke, Duke, Duke, Duke of Earl..." and then Mr. Purple would come in a little higher (his voice hadn't changed by this time...)
