Peeps, I can finally get over my angst about Saturday/Caturday.
There IS a larger threat out there...

Ken-Dogger: Hey Clyde
Clyde: That's your greeting, hey? Come on, what's the deal?
KD: Getting ready for a long two years in the USA.
C: These pundits sure can put a damper on life, can't they?
KD: They can, they do, they will...not sweet alternatives now.
C: We've still got each other, we're still breathing, we've got resources.
KD: Resources and cliches...We're playing one game at a time.
C: We're taking one day at a time.
KD: Together...
It's a win-win for Trump. He shows everyone that he is unstoppable. And we can't complain that he didn't warn us because he did. It is going to be a long two years before there is even a chance to right the course.

Susan Estrich on Gaetz...
Here's what I think. Whoever we get instead of Gaetz will be just as bad in policy terms as Gaetz is, and will sail through confirmation precisely because Gaetz doesn't. If you want to destroy the Justice Department, this is the way to do it. Gaetz ends up as White House counsel. The Justice Department ends up in the hands of someone no less bent on executing Trump's agenda.

Jim Hightower, breaking it down so even Democrats will understand
Few of these hard-hit men and women actually believe in, agree with, trust or like Trump -- nor are they stuck on supporting him. But they will be, unless and until some progressive party decides to side with grassroots people in an unabashed fight for economic fairness and social justice. To help push in that direction, go to WorkingFamilies.org.

Since I stopped working, I am enjoying how mornings unfold now.
If it weren't for understanding that 51% of US citizens voted to destroy this country, my life would be pretty peachy right now.

Didn't I tell you
What I believe?
Did somebody say that
A love like that won't last?
Didn't I give you
All that I've got to give, baby?
I gave you all the love I got
I gave you more than I could give
Gave you love
I gave you all that I have inside
And you took my love
You took my love
I keep crying
I keep trying for you
There's nothing like you and I, baby
This is no ordinary love

Ken-Dogger: Hey there Petie
Petie: Morning Dogger, I'm looking for someone to bite this morning.
KD: Whoa, doggies...what hellacious rage today.
P: Well, I'm upset, and peeps aren't letting me be upset.
KD: You want to wallow in your sorrow, is that it?
P: I want time to let it resolve...it needs to breathe.
KD: Let's give it some time then Petie, we've got that.
P: Yes, Dogger, yes, we do.

BEAVER?? DID YOU SAY BEAVER???
Good morning. This is your final chance of the year to bask in lunar splendor. Tonight is the last supermoon—aka when the moon is full and its orbit is at its closest to Earth—until October 2025. This one is called “Beaver Moon,” because right around now is when beavers fortify their dams for the winter.

South Africa Miners
South African authorities have restricted food and water supplies to an estimated 350 to 4,000 illegal miners in a shaft in the country's North West province. The standoff is the latest flashpoint in a government policy to end illegal mining by closing off supply lines, forcing workers to resurface and face arrest.
