Someday, far from now, or quite close, some of us will have to be the rememberers, the monks, the grandmothers teaching the old, powerful words.
If it takes long enough, some of us may creep into a ruined Capitol full of broken statues and whisper the words and remember what it was like before.

KINDNESS is an act of rebellion...
Be gracious and grateful and use your privilege to help those around you. While Donald Trump and JD Vance are spewing contempt, racism and misogyny, be the safe and brave space friends can rely upon. At this point, kindness is an act of rebellion. Be kind. We know what is needed, and we know how to do this. We have been here before.

Ken-Dogger: Hey there Theo, what are we going to get into today?
Theo: Dude, this is cool, you're going to start doing stuff again.
KD: I gotta keep going, I'm searching for some JOY.
T: Heretofore, you have found JOY in many things. You're going to find it again.

T: Yeppers, Dogger, Yeppers.

Are you going to feel comfortable having hushed conversations in a public place?

But there, in the grim new year, I ran into Marian Wright Edelman, the legendary civil rights leader and founder of the Children's Defense Fund. She was fighting the Reagan budget, working the hallways the same way she did when there was a Democratic president and a Democratic Senate. What was she doing?

Ken-Dogger: Hey Roscoe, what's up with the look?
Roscoe: Dude, a little worried about you.
KD: Last few days have been a little shocking Roscoe, trying to figure out how to adjust.
R: You're closing peeps off too, you think that's wise?
KD: I need some time to figure out how to get close again.
R: I think it's called trust.
KD: Yep, not big on that right now.
So, one thing I can do creatively is new editions of #pups4peace.
I have been wantonly using old ones which showed up on FB memories, but since I'm off that evil website, I've lost that supply.
So, let me find some JOY in new editions.

As @Minholkin often reminds us...
LOOK FOR THE JOY
It is hard, and I'm struggling to find joy in just about anything, but I do know, that's still the target.
