JUST FOR THE ACCEPTANCE

Morning Lovers and Dogs,

Ken-Dogger: Hey Mooch
Mooch: Did you see? Did you see who moved in?
KD: No, I didn’t.
M: Well, young couple with the cutest little white poodle.
KD: Wow
M: Would you help me spruce up a little, got some courting to do.
KD: But she’s white, and she’s a different breed, won’t that be a problem?
M: Nope, Dogs don’t do color, we aren’t parochial on breeds, we just LOVE.
KD: Oh, to live in a Dog’s World.

Morning Peeps,

Hello Sunday...A Day of Forgiveness, unsure why we focus on Sundays for forgiveness, but there it is...

So...

Forgive me father, pastor, vicar, padre, priest.

For I have synonymed.

Later Peeps,

Gotta a golf course to open and to get golfers in the right mode to conquer a course.

Historybook: Alexander Fleming discovers penicillin's potential as global antibiotic (1928); Ted Williams is last major league baseball player to end season batting over .400 (1941); Jazz legend Miles Davis dies (1991); American tennis great and color barrier breaker Althea Gibson dies (2003); Rapper Coolio dies (2022).

"Most of us who aspire to be tops in our fields don't really consider the amount of work required to stay tops."

- Althea Gibson

ON this date in 1991 - Marion Barry, former mayor of the District of Columbia, was sentenced to six months in prison for possession of crack cocaine.

The sting was set up when DEA agents Bun Man and Mr. P posed as plumbers.

Into Mayor Barry's apt, Bun Man said to Mr. P as he was bending over to fix the kitchen piping "Man, that's a lot of crack..."; at that point, Marion said "You wanna see a lot of crack?"

--The rest is history.

ON this date in 1963 - "She Loves You" by the Beatles was played on the radio by Murry The K in New York.

It is believed that this was the first time a Beatles song was played in the U.S.

Murry was about to select Bun Man and Mr. Purple's Super Heads in Time OPUS "She Says She Needs Me But DILLIGAF" when suddenly Murry said, "I don't care about payola, I am not playing these S-H-I-T songs any longer."

You know the rest...Super Heads faded into oblivion while The Beatles made the moola.

ON this date in 1979 - Jimmy McCulloch was found dead in London at the age of 26.

Bun Man, Mr. Purple and I had loved his earlier work w/ Thunderclap Newman and the seminal rock hit "Something in the Air" (Still a Rock Anthem Fave) and appreciated his later work w/ Paul McCartney and Wings from 74 to 77.

Tragically, his life was cut all too short from a heroin overdose.

The Boyz mourned for a month after Jimmy's death...

Bun Man said "Dudes and Dudettes, the cops always get the best pot and until we get Big Pharma ready for mass production of weed, we won't be recommending legalization..."

The Press Corps was stunned, not due to the hypocrisy, no, mostly due to receiving a truthful response from a govt. official.

ON this date in 2000 - The U.S. Federal Drug Administration approved the use of RU-486 in the United States.

The pill is used to induce an abortion.

FDA Officials Bun Man and Mr. Purple were questioned about how this could be legal, yet marijuana remains a restricted plant at the press conference.

LET THE LIGHT IN

From Leonard Cohen's Anthem

Ah, the wars they will be fought again
The holy dove, she will be caught again
Bought and sold and bought again
The dove is never free

Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in

IT'S ABOUT THE GRIND

Ken-Dogger: Why the look, Smalls?
Smalls: Dude, what’s a daily challenge?
KD: Depends, if it’s a card game, you try to win; if a task, you try to accomplish it.
S: Wow, I see you do your solitaire challenge…just wondering.
KD: Oh, are you going to set yourself up for challenges?
S: Yep, I’m motivated…Today’s challenge is only sleeping 20 hours of the day.
KD: Getting ready to take it on?
S: Boy, I’m gonna keep grinding.

You can't trust this,

You can't trust that,

But YOU can trust me.

DJT

Morning,

Ken-Dogger: Hey Chilly
Chilly: Pray tell, what is this, with the hand?
KD: We’re learning hand signals, this means stop.
C: Oh, it does, how cute, and what is supposed to happen?
KD: When I raise my hand, you stop.
C: REALLY, how cute, and are there examples where this works?
KD: Not currently, nobody stops anymore, they just drive forward.
C: Works for me…But if we all drive forward, won’t there be crashes?
KD: They will come, Chilly, trust me, they will come.

Morning Peeps,

Working this AM, hope you have a great day; and remember, somebody helped you along the way.

American tennis great and color barrier breaker Althea Gibson died on this date in 2003.

"No matter what accomplishments you make, somebody helped you."

- Althea Gibson

Headed to my gym and a possible bike ride later, wrenched my knee setting up the driving range the other day, so it's still tight.

Working first PM shift later today so might be challenged.

Will miss my PM nap...

Life is about adjustments, keep making them or see a chiropractor.
