The original flight with Williams and Wilmore was only scheduled to last about nine days, but problems with the propulsion system and the safety issues that ensued will leave them stranded in space for another six months.

FAMILIARITY BREEDS FAMILIARITY

Starliner astronauts won’t return home until February 2025. NASA made the announcement on Saturday that it will turn to SpaceX to bring Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore back from the ISS due to ongoing problems with the Boeing capsule that brought the duo into space in June. The Boeing capsule will return home without the astronauts, while SpaceX will send its capsule to the ISS with two empty seats.

FASHION WHORES

At least the guy fashion whores, just letting you know MANTRA is dropping a new collection this morning at 9 PST.

Buttery soft shirts, MANTRA collar, and incredible fit.

I hate to admit I have 8 of them, but these SOBs keep sending me discounts.

It's a trap...

Jeff Danziger always delivers poignant cartoons...

(Little known totally irrelevant fact - Jeff's ex-wife was the Art Teacher in the Vermont K-12 school where I was Principal from 94-98)

Wondering when the monkey's face will be changed to a Kennedy?

Mr. P and I had to straighten him out as we told him this was providing women the right to vote, a historic day in America.

But we let Bun down easy, telling him his actions probably sped up the timeline...

ON this date in 1920 - The 19th amendment to the U.S. Constitution went into effect.

The amendment prohibited discrimination on the basis of sex in the voting booth.

Bun Man was so proud of this moment as he always thought this was related to that time, he found himself in the voting booth w/ Maude Fernebok, and well, Bun being the man, there were some stories about improprieties...

LIMITS???

Ken-Dogger: Morning Boris, I see you’re ready to help.
Boris: We entered a new zone yesterday.
KD: A new Zone?
B: Dude, you put together that equipment base all by yourself.
KD: After the NordicTrack, I didn’t have the heart to ask the Mikster for assistance.
B: …and She wasn’t coming out to help anyway.
KD: Yes, well that…And I’m seeing some limits to my learned helplessness.
B: Good thing you picked the easier task.
KD: Dude, balance in all things…balance in all things.

SEASON OF LOVE?

Morning Colorful Ones,

Ken-Dogger: Hey Wally
Wally: Get down on it, if you really feel it
KD: Wha…Kool & The Gang this morning
W: Dude, tryin’ to get my groove on…It’s the season for Procreation.
KD: Well, damn, let’s get down on it then.
W: If you want me off this wall, I need more color. I gotta stand out.
KD: We could all use some more color in our lives.
W: And dancin’, we need more dancin’…Groove is comin’.
KD: Groove on Wally, let the season flourish.

CONGRATS LADIES

ON this date in 1920, the 19th Amendment took effect giving women the right to vote in the USA.

HOLD ON TO THAT RIGHT.

The RIGHT Right.

HOW 'BOUT US...SOME PEOPLE CAN HOLD IT TOGETHER

I just said this to some peeps on another SM site but the more I think about it, what a great way to greet someone and to help them get startled into focusing on their day...

And perhaps we can start to think about all we have, not all we don't have...

"What are you looking forward to today?"

Historybook: Mother Teresa born (1910); 19th Amendment, granting US women right to vote, takes effect (1920); First televised Major League Baseball game (1939); NBA star James Harden born (1989); 13 US military personnel, more than 169 Afghans killed during suicide bombing at Kabul airport (2021).

"If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one."

- Mother Mary Teresa Bojaxhiu

MODERN UPDATE: "If you can't wipe out the debt of a hundred people, then wipe out the debt of just one."

Morning Peeps,

A cursory review of headlines in the USA today reveals we are facing two more months of stunts and gimmicks while trashing wholesome characters v. taking on the issues with Mom and Pop.

You decide...

ON this date in 1840 - Joseph Gibbons received a patent for the seeding machine.

Bun Man and Mr. Purple were so appreciative.

This was one of their early jobs as before the seeding machine, farmers used to lay 10 persons prone on a horse-drawn sled and then fill their mouths w/ seeds which were spit as the horse worked the field.

The Boyz never could eat sunflower seeds after that job, so tragic.

ON this date in 1987 - Saudi Arabia denounced the "group of terrorists" that ran the Iranian government.

Bun just looked at me and said "WTF..."

And Mr. Purple chimed in saying "Isn't that a lot like the pot callin' the kettle black?"

Saudi Arabia has been supporting terrorists in their country for years, but hey, it makes good press to throw blame on other countries...
