ON this date in 1923 - Howard Carter unsealed the burial chamber of Egyptian Pharaoh Tutankhamen.
The next day he entered the chamber with several invited guests.
He had originally found the tomb on November 4, 1922.

ON this date in 1959 - Fidel Castro seized power in Cuba after the overthrow of President Fulgencio Batista.
Freedom fighters Bun Man and Mr. Purple helped Fidel get to the top and were so proud of this burgeoning people's movement.
When Fidel's first act of power was to institute all men wearing their underwear outside their pants, the Boyz began to have doubts about where the country was headed.

Co-producers Bun Man and Mr. Purple thought the song was out-of-sight and said Shep and his boys made a song for the ages.

Snookie always thought the song was 'bout her 'genetically enhanced' boobs boucin' 'round on the show.

ON this date in 1999 - Rap star Ol' Dirty Bastard was arrested in Hollywood for allegedly wearing body armor, a forbidden garment because of his previous arrests.
ODB was initially pulled over for driving erratically.
Fellow rap stars Bun Man and Mr. Purple were also in the car w/ me and they were incredulous that the coppers pulled us over.
