Nowhere Man

youtu.be/8scSwaKbE64

Doesn't have a point of view
Knows not where he's going to
Isn't he a bit like you and me?
Nowhere man please listen
You don't know what you're missing
Nowhere man, the world is at your command

Morning Nauts

Ken-Dogger: What’s up Muffer, you look pensive.

Muffer: I am not in love, but I’m open to persuasion, East or West, where’s the best for romancing?

KD: Not sure, wow last night special?

M: She took me dancing, cross the floor, cheek to cheek…

KD: Bet you really moved, and really danced

M: Did Bro, she sang me a love song with a little dedication…

KD: Once more with feeling…

M: Love and Affection, bro…
(Homage to Joan Armatrading)

When I call you up, your line's engaged
I have had enough, so act your age
We have lost the time that was so hard to find
And I will lose my mind
If you won't see me, you won't see me

Time after time you refuse to even listen
I wouldn't mind if I knew what I was missing
Though the days are few, they're filled with tears
And since I lost you, it feels like years
Yes, it seems so long, girl, since you've been gone
And I just can't go on
If you won't see me, you won't see me

Kelly calls out Fox citizens as the underinformed...

Fun Fact: When I was at the Pentagon from 2001 to 2011, I used to work out in the Pentagon Athletic Club in the basement early in the morning, Gen Kelly used the locker across from me...

Eugene Scott with a good piece in WaPo on are we ready?

To me, the beauty of getting this stuff out now for us to grapple with is we can do this against the 'Wall of Shame' that Trump will mount on any candidate, but we have the opportunity to play those convos out in our heads so we can inform our choices.

As long as we are still civil while discussing our differences, we can help us all to get to better choices for America.

TheHill: Sanders calls online harassment 'unacceptable' after allegations from

Bernie ' stuff catching up...

Harassment of all forms is unacceptable to me, and we urge supporters of all campaigns not to engage in bullying or ugly personal attacks," Sanders said. "Our campaign is building a multi-generational, multi-racial movement of love, compassion, and justice. We can certainly disagree on issues, but we must do it in a respectful manner."

Sanders has passion, and unless Democrats can coalesce around a pragmatic rival, the Milwaukee convention could be a bloodbath and the November election a blowout for Trump.

What’s the 2020 story line so far? Here’s a suggestion: The more voters have looked at progressives’ expensive programs, the warier they have become.

Here’s another theme that’s often overlooked: The 2020 successes of moderate Democrats are a continuation of the 2018 midterm election results.

The Democrats can blow this election, for sure. Moderates may have the numbers in the aggregate, but aggregates don’t win elections.

David Ignatius in WaPo on the reemergence of the Moderate...

In our barbell view of politics, where all the weight seems to be at the two ends, this reality may be obscured: Far more Americans (42 percent) described themselves as independents than as Democrats (27 percent) or Republicans (30 percent) in the most recent Gallup survey of party affiliation. The percentage of people who see themselves in this broad middle has rarely been higher.

Outrage seems rather too mild a word. There is now one set of laws in this country for people who serve Trump, and another for everyone else. During Trump’s impeachment trial, the House managers repeated a quote attributed to Ben Franklin over and over again: “A republic, if you can keep it.” We haven’t kept it. The question now is whether we ever get it back.

Michelle Goldberg on the Right's lies about witness tampering...

On Thursday the attorney general appeared on ABC News to assert his independence, telling Trump to stop tweeting about D.O.J. cases. But given the slavish way Barr has enacted Trump’s agenda, there’s no reason to see his words as anything but cheap P.R. meant to quell mounting fury at the way he’s corrupting his agency.
