I'm thinking a whole resettlement tour where Trump supporters could get up close and personal to observe the suffering of those less fortunate.

...and the curious question lingering about a year into Trump's regime...

What will they do when their anger doesn't dissipate via Trump's policies?

I haven't seen any reporting yet on Trump's election and the effect on US Tourism.

I can't imagine being a foreigner and wanting to come here for a visit.

Unless it's for some morbid reason.

Headed to my gym to work off some of this anger.

As just about everyone says, we WILL get through this. We aren't going to like it, but each step I take is a step for Freedom, Dignity, and Civility.

Ellie and I were up late texting about the election.

She doesn't truly get the results either.

ON this date in 1799 Napoleon Bonaparte leads coup and becomes dictator of France.

Bun Man just turned to Mr. Purple and me and said, "Sheesh, Dude should have waited a few years. We now vote 'em in."

All politics is local...

Look what the Repubs did to take over State Legislatures...

Dems have to build local organizations first and then attempt to cross-pollinate.

...And on Monday, when you are giving a salute to Veterans, those of us who did serve this country, please go by the cemetery and give some solace to those WWII veterans laying there who, given the results of Tuesday's election, apparently died for nothing.

And the US citizens decided one fleecing wasn't enough, we need to go full-on fleecing in SCAMBO 2.

And damn given Trump's Rise of the Phoenix, can Woody Allen be far behind?

When do we get to the part where we are told to where our underwear on the outside of our pants, ala Bananas?

Will it be after the inauguration?

Share the principals. Share the words. Keep them strong. Repeat them often. Prepare to rebuild, and get back everything we lose.

Democracy isn't natural. Kings are natural, and dictators and tyranny, and that's why a free people is always half an inch from slavery.

Someday, far from now, or quite close, some of us will have to be the rememberers, the monks, the grandmothers teaching the old, powerful words.

If it takes long enough, some of us may creep into a ruined Capitol full of broken statues and whisper the words and remember what it was like before.

KINDNESS is an act of rebellion...

Be gracious and grateful and use your privilege to help those around you. While Donald Trump and JD Vance are spewing contempt, racism and misogyny, be the safe and brave space friends can rely upon. At this point, kindness is an act of rebellion. Be kind. We know what is needed, and we know how to do this. We have been here before.

@FrankCannon

Dems will split hairs rather than evaluating what is wrong with their message/policies.

This cartoon captures What really happened to the USA...

It wasn't Trump, it was US citizens who poisoned the well of freedom.

So, we'll play a game of TAKE-AWAY FREEDOMS for the next 4 years, at the very least.

@catlynne333

It's a far, far, FAR better thing I do then ruminating.
