I am very proud to say my new music podcast is finally live. "Let's Play Ten" is a bi-weekly show that features ten brand new songs from the indie/diy/small label community. We want to support these artists and their labels, and help some folks find their new favorite bands. We'll tell some stories and give you the info. "Let's Play Ten" is on Apple, Amazon, and Tune-In with other services to come. Please check it out! You can subscribe directly at https://www.40ficreations.com/podcast-1 #cosomusic
@corlin Thank you very much!
Written Track listings would be helpful. Along with links to band websites.
Since you are probably doing you own post production on this podcast. You can add all this info to the RSS feed. Also you could break the tracks down into "chapters" and add chapter art, ( a photo of each record).
Most modern podcast players will display chapter art at the time stamp of the track..
just an idea.
@corlin
We r looking into all that stuff! Thanks for the feedback, greatly appreciated.
Wow. Excellent, I have so been wanting to find something like this.
How do you choose the bands?
@TheAbbotTrithemius lots of sources especially bands themselves. We follow an increasing list of bands and small labels. Bandcamp is a great source for indie/unsigned bands. The songs for each episode are based on release date. We r trying to stick to releases that drop within the two weeks between shows. We need a few days to contact the artists and their labels too.
Okay, nevermind I hear that’s the first thing you’re addressing.
This method is how it was finding great bands in the 80s and 90s. Fanzines, word of mouth, DIY, Punk and Post. Listening to bands who played with other bands or bands in the same sort of zeitgeist or locale or you’d walk into a record store with good people working there who’d highlight a band that caught their interest not due to an algorithm, but the passion and the community…
Anyhow, excited for this..
@TheAbbotTrithemius Exactly. We r just doing the same thing with the added luxury of the internet. I hope you dig the show.
I totally am! Hearing a nice jangle guitar quality to the first 2 songs. 2nd song is just sad and beautiful and chills inducing… wow!!
