I have a burning desire to reread Vonnegut's Bluebeard today.
(I *think* my urge has to do with this book questioning the plausibility of creating art with meaning and integrity in a world that often lacks both. But I'll have to reread to be sure!)
Anyone else having a certain book or author calling to them these days? #CoSoBooks
I saw a Netflix preview for “All the Light We Cannot See” and had a burning desire to re-read the book and luxuriate in Anthony Doerr’s prose.
that definitely looks fun👍🏼
you've given me another read‼️
that's how i see the art industry market, having spent a good part of my youth in that environment. cutthroat much?
one painter called himself Art Rat and there was a group that thou itself as the art mafia.
i feel sorry for artists having to deal with those human sharks.
I think you're going to love it.
It's never just about one thing with Vonnegut. This piece gives us an artist haunted by Armenian genocide - and a rotter in his own right, too. All things in Vonnegut, as in life, are meant to be held lightly because life *burns*.
i've read some of his novels, quite awhile ago. it'll be fun getting into his mind again. it's always an adventure.
Aha! I knew it. :)
This is going to be fun hour of nostalgia.
