We’ve all thought this. It’s not really stunning.
“A former Kamala Harris adviser shocked a CNN panel on Sunday with a wild proposition: Joe Biden should resign the presidency and allow Kamala Harris to reign as the first woman president.”

@feloneouscat They won't stop being silly. Sure, elevate somebody who lost an election to be a lame duck President to accomplish what exactly? A footnote in a history book?
It's like they want to play right into right-wing narratives or both-sides arguments.
@Lulz4l1f3 @feloneouscat It's not lame duck if they have immunity.
rolling eyes. shaking head.
@Lulz4l1f3 @feloneouscat cool cool
I’m not really sure what this would accomplish myself. Prove she was ready to be President for all of two months? To be the token black President? I agree that she should have Secret Service for the rest of her life.
But other than having Seal Team Six at her disposal, I see nothing that will help.
@feloneouscat @SaltyVeruca @Lulz4l1f3 I say do it for two reasons:
1. Claw back every little bit and every opportunity. Quit playing nice and fair. Be spiteful. Might not accomplish anything practical, but it's a nice FU and it sends a message that we're going to fight back.
2. It genuinely might be beneficial to making it easier to get a woman elected later. It sounds stupid, because it is, but some people just will not accept a woman can be president until it's already happened.

I obviously loathe Trump's behavior. However, there are enough of the electorate who manage to drag themselves to the polls that just vote against the top of the ticket if they think things are headed the wrong direction in their personal lives. It isn't deep.
It's happening across the advance nations irrespective of political leanings: the party in charge at the top of the ticket are losing more elections.
