@Mauve_matelot you're welcome. I wish Landon wasn't the only one, but he's not, and won't be. there have been others, and their stories need to be told. There are very real consequences for this kids and the isolation they are
going through

@th3j35t3r I dont' see myself leaving any where, anytime, for any reason BTW, I like all my online neighborhoods :)
@th3j35t3r I respect that J.
For what ever reason a person chooses to walk away from any SM site, and the reasons could be many
-ideology
-cleansing ones self of SM
-wiping online footprints
-a "legacy" acct situation where something happened to the person
It's nice to know if the choice is made on the handle remains
FTR, If ever there comes a time where the choice is made to leave, I wouldn't want deletion, but I would send this out to my friends specially you
@th3j35t3r most definitely legit.
I saw the video that Khalil posted. The devastation is just heartbreaking
@Kronykal I would have said "Laughing my ass off" but it translates to "Laugh at my ass" and thats just not right.
From Khalil Sehnaoui.
for the victims of the #BeirutBlast
@WomanVoter and you are correct that "Deaths of Despair" has been brought up, and it was dismissed. I hope the story about Landon will offer help to others.
@WomanVoter You're welcome. Through all the topics regarding the shutdowns and subsequent remote learning that has followed, I felt it important to bring to the table the very real consequences and obstacles that parents, schools and most importantly children will be facing. Often the topics I've covered get buried for one reason or another. I decided I'd use my nickname to un-bury them
Thank you for sharing this article, it opened up a topic that has been overlooked. I sometimes hear Trump raise the issue at his briefings but he’s quickly dismissed. I surmised that someone had discussed suicides during the pandemic in their closed sessions w/him.
TY, I’ve requested the article be shared w/our local county government and also with the school district’s psychologist. 🙏🏼
Mental health is often overlooked, in part because of the stigma, but needed more than ever.
@voltronic @corlin Seniors will also be hit hard if their property taxes go up. Many on fixed incomes like my mom
@corlin Thank you very much for your thoughts and insightful outline. It gives everyone a lot to think about, and we are in uncharted waters here.

Good Morning #COSO
Today will be the last of my postings on the topic of children and schools. I first want to say thank you to all for the engagements I have received and I hope that the information has been substantive, informative and perhaps eye opening.
This last post is personally hard for me, and hit a nerve, but it needs attention. The article I am linking below is important. Let me know if you read it for any reason and I will post it word for word

@Minholkin ugly souls come cloaked in many robes @th3j35t3r
Key take away from the article below.
"The stress, fear and uncertainty created by the COVID-19 pandemic can wear anyone down, but teens may have an especially tough time coping emotionally. Feeling depressed, hopeless, anxious, or angry during the COVID-19 pandemic may be signs they need more support during this difficult time."
@Minholkin min do you use the cosodocs feature?
