OK, big question.

How do you drink your whisk(e)y?

@LiberalLibrarian With sweet vermouth and Campari, up in a cocktail glass with a twist of lemon.

@stueytheround Not an Old Fashioned! That's a whiskey Negroni. (The whiskey takes the place of gin.) Campari is too bitter for my palate. When I was in Barca, we went to a Negroni bar. Fortunately, they had whisky. @sfleetucker

@stueytheround LOL, I know. But it was interesting that the recipe was for a Negroni, but with whiskey rather than gin. I wonder if I'd like that more... @sfleetucker

@LiberalLibrarian Maybe. TBH if the bitter isn't your thing, it might just taste like ruined whiskey to you. Campari does taste like concentrated tonic water! 🤣
Maybe a smokey whiskey or a peaty Scotch?

@sfleetucker what whiskey do you like best in yours?

@stueytheround @LiberalLibrarian Generally a high rye bourbon. Redemption rye was my go to, but I switch out the Cocchi di Torino for Carpano Antica.
