My wife just told me that someone at work—younger than her, of course—asked her, "Why do you work?", referencing that, well, she's no longer a spring chicken. That hurt her feelings.
My mood now:
People have lost all sense of decorum.
@Shelter "I'm just being honest."
No, you're being an asshole.
I was this person up until my early 20s. I grew up with parents who thought this was acceptable behaviour and had it not been for my ex-hubs, I may never have learned how hurtful such behaviour is. I still have feelings of guilt for how I treated people.
@LiberalLibrarian and the only acceptable reply would be:
Being idle turns me into an asshole Karen, we don't want that, do we
Oh, so many responses come to mind. So. Many. Responses.
@LiberalLibrarian
HEEY LL😊 This is 4 That Ignorant co-worker 😡
Please Do Give The Missus A HUG And A Treat Of Some Kind
Also NO Response Can Be More Stinging Than Anything Spoken
PRAYERS🙏
@GreenLady08 @LiberalLibrarian yes.. when people act foolish you might need to treat them like they’re foolish..
@LiberalLibrarian not cool at all. People can be so damn rude.
@LiberalLibrarian sometimes people just suck! I hope you both feel better soon. Planning petty ass revenge works for me
@LiberalLibrarian I don't understand why people feel the need to be shitty. Hugs to her.
@LiberalLibrarian Dang, that's not a nice thing to say to her, give her hugs for us.
