Yesterday's questions was "How do I add alt text to image data so I don't need to re-add it with every upload?" and one of my friends has what may be the answer. I'm going to investigate this later today and I'll let you know what I find.

Somehow it's already 9:30pm and I still have things to do?

And it's only Tuesday night?

Why is this week so busy?

I would dearly love for someone to invent a program that allows me to write Alt Text once and save the picture as that so I can upload the file with the alt text and not write it (or copy/paste it) every time I need to upload an image.

My ALT Text Policy:

- I will do my best to schedule ads with alt text.

- I will use alt text as frequently as I can.

- If I don't use alt text I will try to describe the picture in the post.

- If my ADHD is making Alt Text impossible, I will post without it.

I am doing my best to schedule ads for my books with alt text. Unfortunately, I haven't tested the alt text on most reader assistive devices, so I don't know how they sound on everything.

If you are using an alt text reader and run into a problem on one of my ads, please let me know.

Some people are new to the idea of having privilege so...

You don't earn privilege. You can't give it away. You don't control it in any way.

Privilege is something you get because of the biases of the society or culture you live in. You can't opt out, so use your privilege for good.

Our heat index has made it feel like the temp is around 101F, and that's likely to continue for the week. So one of the grocery stores has "grocery store camping" where you can buy your food on the first floor, then go upstairs and rent one of their tents and camp near the kid's cafe. All indoors.

I'm so amused.

If you want to see real change in the USA, you need to vote.

Find the candidates in your area who are moving the furthest in the direction you want to go, hold your nose, and vote.

Sitting out the vote does nothing to help anyone.

The USA isn't a place where your silence on a vote is an effective form of protest. We don't call off the election if the majority of people opt out.

We could have 99% of the population sit out the vote, and the remaining 1% would get to determine who leads the country.

The politicians don't see your non-vote as a protest.

The Republicans party is counting on you to not vote. They need you to not vote so they can push Trump and his rich-people-first policies.

If you want to protest: VOTE.

There's a percentage of people who don't vote because they can legally, but things like health or work prevent them from getting to the polls or mailing in a ballot (where mail-in voting is allowed).

But that's about 10% of the non-voters.

The rest are comfortable letting anyone win.

You absolutely have the right to not vote.

But you aren't protesting anything.

You're saying it isn't important enough for you to choose a side and that you're confident you won't be impacted by any political change.

"I don't like any of the options so I won't vote! Ha!"

... no one cares.

Only 45% of voting Americans vote as it is. You'll be one of many who sit out the vote. In fact, there are politicians in your state hoping you'll sit out the vote because it means they can win with fewer votes.
