Emails have been corralled to some degree. I need to go write the ending for this book and get it to my beta reader because it's due to my editor in 26 days.

The USA doesn't have UBI or free healthcare because the culture is sexist and ableist.

The message is very clear: if you can't work for a corporation to make the rich even wealthier, the USA does not want you to live.

Side Note: As a general rule one shouldn't announce travel plans or when their home will be empty because that invites theft ect.

I feel comfortable talking about traveling because of where I live and the security measures my building has. And also because I have nothing worth stealing.

I was going to log onto ex-Twitter and see how it was going there, but I've lost my password and generally don't care. I think all my friends have migrated to new spaces by now.

I think it shows excellent taste in friends that 0% of the people I follow on any social media are mad about today's trial. Past Me did an excellent job cutting ties with people who don't think I should have basic human rights.

I love waking up in the middle of the US news cycle.

Can someone give me the headlines and tell me if a convicted felon can run for president? It's important to my mental health to know this.

Let's take a break for lunch, figure out what we're doing for dinner if there's no spaghetti sauce in the freezer, and go edit for clients.

I have no savings. I own no land. I have two older cars worth maybe $10,000 on a good day. And I still have student loans.

I'm so far from the wealthy end of society I couldn't even identify it if they wore a name tag.

But I can buy groceries without stress. And, for me, that's huge. I love it.

Do not ask about my savings account.

Just don't.

As much as you shouldn't attach your dreams to money, money does make a difference.

Being uber-wealthy won't make you happy. But living above the poverty line sure will!
