I love waking up in the middle of the US news cycle.
Can someone give me the headlines and tell me if a convicted felon can run for president? It's important to my mental health to know this.
Yes, they can. But the voting public is supposed to be smart enough to know not to vote for a felon.
@LianaBrooks Der Trumpenführer was convicted today on all 34 felony charges against him in the Stormy Daniels hush money trial. The sentence will be decided on July 11.
Can a convicted felon run for president? And, if elected, can they serve?
The answer: Yes, a convict can run for POTUS and serve if elected, even if that means running the country from a prison cell while Big Bubba takes his shit pussy. Nothing in the constitution bars a convicted felon from being president.
@POOetryma I have mixed feelings about the idea of a felon being able to run for president. On one hand, considering how many protestors and Civil Rights activists wind up in jail, it's okay.
With Trump specifically... I'm not okay with that. I don't want him in charge of anything ever again. I wouldn't trust him to bring chips to the neighborhood bbq let alone make decisions for other people.
@LianaBrooks I agree with you 1,000%!! 👍👍👍
@LianaBrooks He can still run, he can still win. This was an important statement to be made by an unflinching court but it's not a finish line, that's November.
