Curious for the room's take on Gabbard and Buttigieg.

No arguments-just civility and your reasons for liking or not. Explanations for your reasonings are welcomed. Kind of a "why is that your preference?". Simply out of curiosity, not antagonizing. You don't have to explain...I might ask if you don't, but you can reply however you'd like.

Thanks!

@ChippySuave why no for Gabbard?

Top 5 makes me think you're not sold on Buttigieg either?

@L_D_G Top 5 of 18 isn't bad. I like Warren and her policies the most, have for years. But I'm very progressive with enough sanity to know most of the US is not. I want the person who can beat Trump while ALSO bringing this divided nation together. I also like Julián Castro.

I'm waiting to see what the debates show. And I refuse to vote for anyone who badmouths, or whose campaign/mass followers go nasty negative on fellow Dems. So, Bernie is already gone.

I just get/feel nothing from Gabbard.

@ChippySuave haha, I had lost track! 5/18 does make him a stand out. Guess I was just wondering what separated him from clear #1.

My thought process has drifted towards Biden being the easiest to beat Trump. Have him only do one term and let Pete, Gabbard, or another democrat in this field rise and be groomed for 4 years.

@L_D_G
ok as it stands right now...Mayor Pete is my #1 pick...
1) he his smart.
2) he is a vet
3) he has a proven track record of working across ideological lines.
4) Is is curious, and not condescending
5) he is not in the pocket of big corp.
6) He ain't Bernie, or Joe.( who both need to just go home)
7)he is not from the coasts.

on and on

@corlin cool! I feel like Gabbard meets a few of those same points that Pete does though?

@L_D_G
she does yes.
I have talked to people in Hawaii's 2nd. they say she is putting her best face forward. but in real life, she is not all that Aloha ...
She likes money a bit too much.

Hard to tell though ... I would prefer a women, but I don't see one I feel 100% about.

How about a Warren/ Buttigieg ticket ?

@corlin she has struck me as being more moderate than most of the democrats. It is good to hear that her constituents like her though (I'm reading that correct, yes?)! Huge plus!

Warren seemed like a logical choice for a while, but I don't think the genealogy did her any favors. I think Biden is the best option for democrats to best Trump. Have him only do one term and have one of these others get groomed in that 4 years.

@corlin follow up: when you say she likes money a little too much...does that mean she is willing to take contributions from anyone? Just making sure I'm following accurately.

@L_D_G
This was just one anecdote.
About her personal life.
The story was that she, enjoyed hanging around rich people. And that was not genuine about helping poor people.

@corlin which is something that is frowned upon by liberal voters...? Do her voters actually like her then or is she just the better option?

The genuineness of poor assistance is an easier one for me to see the flaws in.

@L_D_G I'm just here for the revolution. Whoever leads it. As long as it's a revolution. This shit ain't working.
