I’m seeing a lot of people who seem to think TFG’s little announcement gives him cover from a DOJ indictment or prosecution. It does not. Even the rule that discourages charging candidates within 60 days of an election is not a rule — it’s just a guideline. I found this piece instructive. #politics. https://news.yahoo.com/trump-election-gambit-avoid-charges-050034904.html
@EboneezerGoode He does pervert and abuse the justice system constantly. That pisses me off. He shouldn’t be allowed to benefit from a system he disrespects and exploits so much. I think that time may be over and I’m 100% here for it.
@Rstrahs Personally I hope what it does is make him lose his mind and start spouting all the blackmail/kompromat he has on his GOP buddies when they challenge him.
@LKNWoman One can hope that is how it plays out. I have a feeling he will cross the wrong person and call his bluff.
@LKNWoman TFG will never be prosecuted. Never held accountable. And if he runs against Biden; he will win. Our country is so screwed. I have zero faith in the DOJ. Zero. The Democrats haven't been near as aggressive as they should be. Quite frankly they handed DeSantis the win by allowing Charlie Christ to run. Come on. These things are decided long before we go to the polls. I thank god daily my granddaughter got the f*k out of this cess pool of a country.
@DCliffo I respectfully disagree.
Alternatively, he may want to convince his most vehement, violent gone that he is ONLY being indicted BECAUSE people want to prevent his becoming prez. Totally untrue, obvi, but that his method.
@LKNWoman
To me, it’s another delaying tactic (in his mind), much like his seemingly never ending court battle maneuvers. In the end, he should still get indicted.
@LKNWoman yeah, it does jack shit. If it did anything, every criminal would just file to run for president to avoid indictment.
