My job typically doesn't include perspective sketches so contractors know how to build something. But that doesn't mean never. ::le sigh::
Coworker: yeah, the drawing makes sense
Architect: that works, send it to the contractor
Contractor: OMG, how do you expect me to build this, this will never work.
🤦♀️
@PurpleDragon it's three steps, how hard can building three steps be 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
🤷♂️ I don't know. There's a door elevation and a sidewalk elevation, 18" between them. Most contractors would just form it and pour it and be on their way. When they get all upset and LOUD about something, I always feel like it's a setup for finger pointing for a cost increase or something else.
@0x56 @PurpleDragon that's good theory
@Kurtroedeger K first of all why does this look like it's being built on a castle keep? 😆
And contractors are the most annoying and yes I'm guessing they don't want to get sued so they're passing the buck?
@PurpleDragon it is next to retaining wall but it's only a 4-ft tall wall
Maybe I can install some revetments, a few machicolations as well. Where should I put the dragon's lair?
@Kurtroedeger Nearest the kitchen of course!! And don't forget the secret library 😍
Ok, so the lair is a library, and it has its own kitchen. Yak sized roasting spit
If he's a real contractor, he should know how to do it.
Send him a YouTube video.
I've also seen precast concrete steps.
@GeezerWench @PurpleDragon yeah, it's an easy thing. 🤷♂️ Can't fix everyone
OH DEAR. THIS POST WAS SET TO SELF-DETONATE 💣 💥 🔥
