@GeorgeG thanks for asking by the way, and even bigger thanks if you read all the way through my wall :D
@GeorgeG "I don't care what people say or think. People judge but I don't listen." she said, after judging me. Hmm
I tried to explain invisible illness to her but she acted disinterested. I asked her if she was going to the tenant association meeting, and she said "I don't want to get involved."
Okay lady, so which is it?
She then goes:
"You're so young, how old are you?"
"Why do you ask?
"Look at you, You look like you're in your 30s"
"What do disabled people look like?"
Then she went to hug me.
I physically backed away because I did not want her touching me, and tried to continue the conversation.
@GeorgeG she could not wait to complain about other the people living in my building, followed by insisting I was not disabled after she complained of chronic pain. "When you get to my ageโฆ" to which I replied "I have chronic pain also"
@CherNohio Oh man, am sorry to hear. I wish people would be thankful, and show gratitude, it's a forgotten art these days for many.
@Tacitus_Kilgore A-freaking-men! Complacency solves nothing.
This is called narcissistic projection, I just wrote a poem about it

regurgitated word-salad

never self-reflects
because they're
afraid of what they see
@Pennyformythoughts oh wow, I did not recognise it for some reason
@Armchaircouch It's a weekly or monthly thing I think. I've not been back there to help out since I lost my brother on the 4th
@MordantCarnival awww, so cute!
@Armchaircouch Thank you so much, agreed. Yes it is here in my area, and named simply "The Center" just how you typed it.
@Bliss Thank you :)
@BillyBones Here in the US we weren't caught up in the Kylie / Jason drama, we heard some of her songs on the radio and danced to it. Methinks they did not even play Jason's music here. Other PWL stuff, heck yeah.
@Armchaircouch I hate child labor. Had I known, I would have declined her gift. I just wanted a pretty stone. Those poor families. This week I was offered an opportunity to help Afghani women and children craft at our refugee center where I already volunteer in the adult learning rooms (ESOL). I'm seriously going to try and see if I can do this. Those poor folks have been through HELL.
@BillyBones So many great songs! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Frd6BIE1_k
@Blueway so cute. I love repurposing broken jewelry into new pieces. Upcycling can be a lot of fun.
@Armchaircouch That is so sad. A former co-worker who was deployed to Afghanistan brought back lapis stones which she said she had bought from the locals while her was on post. Hope they were mined ethically.
