I am so glad we opted to homeschool our kids, seeing all this insanity in the schools over the last 2 decades.
Lack of funding.
No real care for worker happiness/retention,
Violence
Drugs.
Being used as pawns in political grandstanding.
That being said, they are both going to a community college now, with a 4.0 and a 3.7 average respectively.
We are some broke-ass motherfuckers too, we are not rich, nor are we crazily religious or especially conspiracy-minded either.

Now I am seeing that Texas has largely closed school libraries, turning them into "Lil' Detention/Punishment Centers" instead.
They are also comically mandating that EVERY school have a Police presence, but have offered no funding to assist with that, so many will not be in compliance as the school year continues.
Where did we lose our way?
Was it when we actively chose to support the meatheads over the brainiacs, by throwing all our money at sports over sciences?

@JasonCrocker616 I mean fair is fair. They had day dream power fantasies of fema death camps and gitmo for us/our side pushing for health care for all.
I say they go to FEMA death camp and get the trump health care plan (which is like horse pills and bleach drinking I guess there might be crystal suppositories and borax baths).

@JasonCrocker616 Parents need to...eliminate Momsforliberty and take over the school boards. The thing I see that gives me ANY hope at all is that so many of the nutters are fairly old and hopefully will be gone before they can influence the youth.
How do we even fix this? Where do we even begin?
I see nothing but a sudden catastrophic change altering the course we are currently following.
We HAVE to get the Christofascists OUT of our schools and out of politics.
They are literally killing us all by forcing societal devolution on us.
