I put aside shelf stable food for food banks. It's a "longer table" sort of thing.
Today, a store I was at had discounted a one variety of Quaker Oats from $5.50 to $1.38 because they weren't going to carry it anymore. Its expiration date is 4/2024.
I bought half a dozen and they're in my donation bin. Why not all? Because someone very low income may need it.
If you want to help others, this is a good way to do it.
Not politics. Just an observation.
This is an outtake from a Reuters photo. Considering TFG's obsession with hair loss, is it time for him to get a hairpiece. Because that bald pate glows under the overhead lights.
Your humor piece for the days.
I bought a beautiful rosebush that actually has a scent, which most of them don’t anymore. After it was planted, it went into transplant shock. It’s finally recovering. I extracted the rose from the gravel background and put it on some greenery instead so it look pretty. I wish I could add the scent. Took a lot of water to pull it through.
#randomthoughts so I sent off for a plant stand. No, it didn’t come from IKEA. That being said, I can certainly take out my frustrations putting this sucker together. They sent a rubber mallet to beat it together with. I’m not entirely sure that I’m doing it right, so maybe I should back up and watch the video on it. Ya yhink?

It occurs to me that the same folks who can't fill water pitchers or put butter in butter dishes have never played Tetris.
Opened up the dishwasher and pondered if this was Jenga being played—or rather, after it failed. 😆
Unloaded dishwasher. Reloaded it Tetris style, added more dishes. Realized they hadn't added dishwashing pod. Pod in. Dishwasher loaded. Washed one dish by hand.
Pondered the death of my favorite pot that had boiled potatoes that burned to a crisp in it.
#Randomthoughts Neither my sister (who lives here half the year) nor her son (visiting) put water in the Keurig, despite using it several times a day. The water pitcher sits next to it. Both know how to fill a pitcher.
I'm presently on (silent) strike. After almost a week of being a house elf like Dobby who puts butter in empty butter dishes, pours water, finds wmpty cartons in the fridge, etc. I am waiting to see how long it takes for two adults to adult.
Wish me luck.
Be sure to check your packages that come with those little bags to keep things cold. I threw a couple of them out before I realized that the company sending me these things were sending me frozen plant food. It could be open and run down the drain or you can mix it with water and give it to your plants. I have plants I mix them with water and now I feel bad about the ones I threw away. .
So, today, Facebook advised me that I violated community standards. They refused to tell me what that violation was. If you don’t know what you did that made them unhappy how do you change it? I wrote off and asked. If you’re unwilling to tell me what it is, I’m supposedly doing wrong. How am I supposed to address it?
I bought a new nightstand. Usually the company I get these things from sends things pretty much in one piece. This time it’s like getting something from IKEA.
First, both of my portable screwdrivers are not holding a charge. Now one of the screws refuses to go all the way in in a slider and I know that there is absolutely no wood knot in particular board.
Hmmm… meanwhile, there are pieces all over the place and I’m going maybe I shouldn’t have started this at this time.
😩
#WritingCommunity I’m on a fair number of professional Facebook, and other pages for writers, and whenever I mention using AI to help authors, who truly have no budget for an editor, the editors go crazy. I’d like to point out to any here that if somebody absolutely can’t afford you you’re not losing business. I had one editor on Facebook screaming at me telling me that if people couldn’t afford an editor, they should ask a friend. Not everybody has friends who can edit. 😱 😳😮
@WestofMars Remember that book you asked me if I was certain I wanted to talk to you about reviewing?
It seems I did okay after all.

A head nod to @nnlightsbookheaven for the editorial review of the first book in my #uf series.
I've been chewing my nails to the quick for the last month, wondering what the result would be.
Not all books are for all people. I know that.
I got more than what I hoped for and it has helped motivate me to work even harder on Book 2 of the Mage of Boston series due out the end of July.

#randomthoughts Fun times. We got a notification early yesterday of a 2% chance of severe weather.
That afternoon we got a storm warning, an hour later it was severe storm warning. It skipped over tornado watch and went straight to OMG!
My phone was going off as if the Russians were nuking us. Lots of rotations over a large area. Then: There's a tornado on the ground.
F1, probably. A lot of debris tossed around. Could have been a lot worse.
Not sure where I ran into this meme, but I put it up on my FB author page and asked what people thought about necromancy.
Anyone remember author Sherri Tepper's "Necromancer Nine"? She did such an amazing job with fantasy necromancer in a magical game.
.... and in writing this I just realized the answer to a problem in my WIP. 😀
I may be one of the last people on the free QR code train, but in the even I'm not—
You can use Google Chrome to create a free QR code.
Go to the link, go to share, and go down the options, select QR code and there it is.. Not $35 a month from a paid service.
I took one into CANVA and made this (as an example) putting it on a navy background, giving it a pale blue background and putting the place it leads to.
