I put aside shelf stable food for food banks. It's a "longer table" sort of thing.
Today, a store I was at had discounted a one variety of Quaker Oats from $5.50 to $1.38 because they weren't going to carry it anymore. Its expiration date is 4/2024.
I bought half a dozen and they're in my donation bin. Why not all? Because someone very low income may need it.
If you want to help others, this is a good way to do it.
