@wolpertinger stay warm. Stay safe snuggle up by the fireplace. We’re getting the other end of things where we’ve got violent summer storms.

It has been an exciting evening here in East Texas. We’ve had a tornado over by Lakeland, which is thankfully a long way for me. We’ve had just incredible thunder and lightning storms with heavy hail and the rain going through here. And we are not done off tornado watch until midnight but I think it might be getting a little better and I hope nobody got seriously injured or hurt.

@LiberalLibrarian I love to see a little kid so excited to go to the library. I never had that option when I was a child. We had a bookmobile once I got old enough to go to school. There was a little child at the library Wednesday when I was leaving, who was so excited about his book. And he was just dancing around saying my book my book in boy that made me happy.

Very much enjoying "Where Wild Peaches Grow" by Cade Bentley.

Deeply emotional novel of family, cultural heritage, and forgiveness. Nothing is as it seems. Complicated family issues, parental infidelity. Death of a parent.

@insomniacviolin It was pain management by professionals that got her hooked. I also have chronic pain as does a friend of mine who suffered burns covering 80% of his body (it was a miracle he survived). Sometimes there's not much available other than self-hypnosis to dial it down.

I'm 44 years clean and sober and I'm the queen of alternative pain management. My burned friend has a bit more wiggle room, but he too relies heavily upon self-hypnosis

@WestofMars same thing happened to me. I have 2 banks. Same issue with both.

@insomniacviolin my daughter is in recovery from addiction so the only medication she takes even after major surgery is Tylenol. She also has a lot of pain. She doesn’t even take Benadryl. I’m glad that you can get some pain relief. She also has tons of muscle spasms. They were talking recently about breaking all of the bones in one of her feet in an orthopedic surgery and I couldn’t imagine having that kind of surgery without pain killers. People don’t understand how hard it is.

@MakerWerks #randomthoughts. my sister was going to sell one. Her bedroom is in the back and she kept the refrigerator in her room and the garage. But there is only one kitchen and at the present time there is the new refrigerator and the old refrigerator.

I could see it if my husband was still alive because he was a gourmet cook. Well, at least, if sides of beef start falling out of the sky 🌪️ we will have a place for the meat. 🤣

@insomniacviolin my daughter has a very severe case of CMT 1-A. So it’s something I always remember on rare disease day is because it’s not rare in our family.

I am familiar with Ehlers-Danilos. Fingers crossed yours is mild.

it is not that I mind, I just find it odd that in a home with two senior citizens, we have two very large refrigerator/freezers, a apartment size refrigerator/freezer in the garage, and a small refrigerator in my sister’s room.

Only one of them is new, but all of them are functioning more or less. We just had one that lost all of its functionality hauled off. I guess this is where refrigerators go to die.🤣

It’s like an appliance store. 🤣
