Judge Aileen Cannon has been taken off the case. She will not preside over the arraignment of Trump for the alleged mishandling of national defense documents. The arraignment will be handled by Magistrate Judge Jonathan Goodman.

@JV3MJD I have seen that she won't handle the arraignment but that she could still handle the rest of the case.
@JV3MJD Misleading headline. The article says that she's just not presiding over the arraignment. She's still on the case as lead judge. I worry about these sorts of "good news" articles, because they can make people think the fight doesn't need to be fought, when it's absolutely still happening. The arraignment process is largely formality. It's where charges are read, the accused is advised of rights, and they enter their initial plea.
@Cosmichomicide @JV3MJD I think I might have become a wee bit cynical over time, so any time I see something that looks like good news, I give a dubious squint and check to see what the catch/misdirection is. : )
