I thought I’d be smart and get my trash out last Thursday night before the storm started (Friday am pickup), THEN I checked their website and saw that they also are delaying until next Friday…my cans are staying put, also!!
The wind has finally died down, enough so that it doesn’t sound like a long, heavy freight train anymore. I’m afraid to look to see how many branches, limbs, or full trees didn’t survive the onslaught. The temp in the house is 55*F, the actual temperature outside 2*F, still with a sub-zero windchill. Time to convince my body it’s time to get up and make coffee, but it is rebelling. #CoSoWeather #IneedCoffee
This little guy hung out on my porch, kind of tucked in the corner out of the wind. He stayed there for a couple of hours, turning every so often, fluffing his feathers for warmth. I hope he makes it. #CoSoWeather #minusThirtyWindchill #ToughLittleDinosaur

Oh yes, and it is only 5 years old, it just is on the side of the house that gets the wind from the southwest. It hasn’t stopped blowing hard since around 1 am this morning.
My poor heat pump (natural gas heat) is struggling to keep the temp from dropping below 57* F in this 133-year-old monstrously huge farm house. I have it set at 70, don’t want to overtax it 🥶 The wind buffeting the outside unit and rear of the house is horrendous. #CoSoWeather #CentralIndiana #ItsEffinCold

Nope, never a snowball fan. Snowmen/snowwomen yes, with a good packing snow, but it is too cold, too windy, the snow is gritty, and it just suckssssssssss. LOL
