Morgan-Stanley reckons Elmo's Twitter adventure is going to take another 25% out of Tesla's market cap.
I saw someone on FB compare the Twitter debacle to Y2K, like "this isn't really a big deal."
As a Gen Xer who works in tech, let me clear something up: the reason Y2K didn't blow up is because companies around the globe took it seriously and handled their shit in the months prior. That's why you didn't wake up on 1/1/2000 to destruction: we did our jobs competently.
We couldn't have done that with 25% of a workforce.
The Saudis funded Elon's takeover, and it really doesn't take a vivid imagination to understand why a brutally oppressive regime might want Twitter to be turned into a smoldering crater. #justsayin #RIPTwitter
It is good to be back under this moniker again. Twitter took it away from me quite some time ago with no explanation and no dialogue on what caused my permanent suspension.
Now my only concern is that if they do purge accounts and let people take dormant handles that the one person from Mexico that is always trying to hack my Instagram because they want the handle JKxZ takes over the releases Twitter account.
That will actually piss me off.
Well, I just can’t be there anymore. Twitter has gone HAM on being as stupid, arrogant, and as Elon ego stroking as it possibly can be.
Now when I check in it just makes me angry.
I don’t want to be angry. I just want to see what other people are talking about who don’t have starving brain worms.
So unfortunately for you all, that means I’ll be spending more time on this platform. Apologies in advance.
@ROKEY is that Lion-O cosplay in your profile pic?
For the record AgileBits / 1Password can go fuck themselves.
I own licenses for 1Password v5, 1Password v6, and 1Password v7.
Now with v8 it’s ONLY a monthly or annual subscription. Price is the same regardless.
I’ve paid maybe $80 for the prior licenses and used to the product for 8 years. That’s $10 per year.
Current price is $36 per year. Nearly 4 times more expensive and ZERO new features.
So again … go fuck yourself AgileBits. You’re now the “Madden Football” of apps.
