And actually, Do the Right Thing should’ve made this list for me as it had an impact on me, started opening my eyes as a teenager

The Muppet Movie
Princess Bride
The Neverending Story
12 Monkees
Elizabethtown
Big Fish
It’s a Wonderful Life

Good morning. Feels like an extra day 🙂

@Undeadchick Love seeing Cardinals in our backyard, especially after there’s snow on the ground

@ChrisAgne Yep. Trying to find fellow St Louis area folks here on CoSo 🙂

@Megalicious thanks for the words. And it’s not necessarily a fear or even a sadness (went through that when oldest daughter moved out just before covid; she returned home after covid, so that was kind of a trial run). I’m excited for them as they start going down their own paths, and I’m excited for myself and wife as we’re still relatively young. But definitely starting to see how it’s a bit different now 🙂

As our daughters are now adults (both in college, but the oldest fully moving out this weekend) and we’re transitioning to be empty nesters, Thanksgiving hits a bit different this year. Not super sad or anything — we had a simple dinner with our daughters and one boyfriend today — just different. Soon they’ll totally have their own lives not living with us, and that’s ok. It’s just weird to think that in just a few years, we won’t see them on a daily/weekly basis

@linkmaster_g Welcome to CoSo. Happy to see another St Louisan on here. It can be overwhelming at first, and I prefer using web version on tablet vs mobile version, but it’s way less toxic than elsewhere, and seemingly more stable/secure than other “newer” social media sites (though CoSo isn’t really new), and less chaotic than mastodon

@Kenneth_Leonard_Kirk There were some issues with the amendment, such as the licensing will be mostly limited to those who already have medical marijuana licensing (which was a messed up process that favored those with political connections), but I voted Yes because it’s probably the only chance we had to make it legal in our state. The GOP state leg would never make it legal, & they’ve also changed the voter initiative rules to make it harder for these types of initiatives to get on the ballot

@kxpx Hope that losing streak was an anomaly. Nice to see them over .500

@StormDancer Good morning and welcome! Nice to see more fellow St Louisans on here

@Pam60 This doesn’t look too bad. But once you get 20+ stories up… nope! (And as I get older, the lower my height tolerence gets)

@Lynz First of all, welcome to CoSo! Happy to have a fellow Missourian here (and look forward to all your informative posts like you’ve posted on thenother site). 🙂

As far as tfg, he’ll just have another point on which to fundraise. “Help me fight to liberal judge and pay my fines!” 😏

@ChippySuave @th3j35t3r Have seen plenty of convos here across political spectrums. But it’s all been civil, which is refreshing

Haven’t been on in a while. Using the new app and looks way cooler that the mastodon app i was using. Now to find my bearings.
