Alrite nauts!

Another poll!

Still on the theme of "punishment at school," though.

How many of you (who feel like owning up to it, heh) were suspended while in high school? This could be "out of school" or "in-school" or both for you damn troublemakers. ๐Ÿค” ๐Ÿ˜†

I'll go first.

I received 3 days of ISS (in=school suspension) for getting into a fistfight in jazz band with a good friend. He got 3, too. We kissed and made up, so don't worry. โค๏ธ

Punishments:

Month-long Detention for speaking out at a public forum against the Administration.

Two In-school suspensions for organizing a lunch boycott and subsequently me walking into school on a frigid winter morning wearing pants under my skirt. Women wearing pants were not allowed in schools in the late 70's.

Three day out of school suspension for organizing a walkout over the firing of a lesbian teacher who supported our demand to we wear pants in school.

I was Magna Cum Laude. During graduation rehearsal of my speech I was interupted by the teachers lots of times trying to force me to edit my speech. I kept refusing. As the teachers confabbed I grabbed the tamborine from a fellow band member and began playing the Rolling Stones song "I Can't Get No Satisfaction".

I was at podium in St Patricks' Cathedral. By the time I began singing the lyrics all my classmates joined in. Teachers freaked out & I got dropped to Summa Cum Laude.

@InUnfunky the trick was to never get caught which i succeeded at it.

@annamousse

Yeah well lol in my case the fistfight occurred in band class so there were plenty of witnesses. ๐Ÿ˜†

@InUnfunky In and out of school. A high school bully thought it would be funny to throw bubblegum into the home ec teachers hair and tried to redirect blame on me. Let's just say the bully got whooped into confessing. That was out of school suspension. In school was over being caught smoking on school property (wasn't on school property, was on public property fifty feet away.). Both times, two weeks suspension.

@InUnfunky

I was a good girl.

I can't even type that without laughing. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Two days out of school suspension for giving a substitute teacher the finger during class. Mr. Roaming Hands deserved a kick in the balls, but I didn't want to get that close to him.

Another time I got 5 days after school detention when I was caught sneaking out the back door to meet friends at a local park. I snuck out a lot but only got caught that one time.

@JoyfullyDazed

Niiiiiice. ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿค“

"Licks" in 10th grade, ISS in 11th grade.

Other than that, was pretty good.

Thing I did not get caught for? Jumping the fence at district jazz band competition (Jan. '86, junior year), walking across the street to a bar, ordering a beer and a sub sandwich, smoking a cig, then returning to play our set. ๐Ÿ˜œ

@InUnfunky

I can see you being a good kid with a side of dork. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‚

I was a pretty good kid. Stubbornly independent since I could walk, but, hey, at least my parents knew the deal early on.
