Best snow car I ever drove. I can remember a big snowstorm hitting Seattle in the late 90s & driving across town to visit out-of-state friends while the sky was dumping 6" on the city & surrounding areas.

@Route10 I mean, I thought those things were part of the GOP official platform, really.

My first car was a 1973 VW Beetle, Wolfsburg edition. It was a lot of fun.

My annual review got postponed - my manager is snowed in! Yikes.

Pain is less today, back & shoulder are a bit more flexible, better range of motion, & it's more a matter of some painful tender spots rather than widespread aches. That's progress, I suppose.

A couple of years ago I had the spine to tell a now-ex that I knew he was treating me like shit & I was done with it. Told him off, walked away, never looked back. A big deal, for me.

So now I fight w/the current SO & we actually *resolve shit*. Wut??

Given my own issues, past, alchemy, etc., I've tended to land w/toxic SOs & in relationships that go sour & unhealthy, even outright abusive. It wasn't until just the last few years that I was finally able to reject that pattern, get grounded & do differently.

So I squabbled w/the SO all day yesterday. Both of us were cranky & irritable & exhausted & snippy.

& we didn't fight dirty or attack each other, & at the end of the day we apologized to one another (not for our feelings, but our attitudes), snuggled in & went to sleep.

This is not normal relationship behavior for me.

Right so does anybody else go absolutely spare when it comes to computer cable management?

There has GOT to be a better way.

Dunno what way that is. Been trying to figure it out for 30 years.

Holy cow, I just got a USB cable inserted correctly on the first try.

I feel like a god now.

As for movies, my fave Xmas flick is "The Lion in Winter".

24 hours of raging dysfunction with the Plantagenet dynasty. Reminds me of my own family.

That, & stuff like "Fairy Tale of New York" & "White Wine in the Sun" & Spinal Tap's Xmas songs.

Also McCartney's "Pipes of Peace", & "Xmas in the Trenches" by John McCutcheon.

That year, that weekend happened to be the same weekend we picked our tree & decorated the house. Mom had the radio on to the local rock station while we decorated. It played Lennon's work for 24 hours.

So that's my Xmas music.

It's just about time to pull out the winter holiday decorations & movies & stuff like that.

I have this weird habit of listening to John Lennon's music when I decorate the house for Xmas every year. Lennon was assassinated Dec. 8th, 1980, & I was a kid.

It snowed here a bit this morning. Looks like it's rain/snow mix right now.

@TwiHusband LOL your old man was wise! I'm not quite at that point yet, I'm at the point where "sleeping" is the high point of my day... LOL

@Jensmom Thanks & ouch! A day without pain these days is like half a miracle. I hope you have some good care for your stuff.

@MorkaBuum Yowza. So sorry - only 1 dodgy disc here, annular tear & disc protrusion in lumbar/sacral area. It pinches nerves, not that many tho'. Ouch.
